St. Louis Children’s hospital’s annual Spring Table Top event at the Ritz-Carlton raises money for kids with heart conditions to go to Camp Rhythm. This year they raised over a million dollars for the cause. The table designs were created by local designers and business’, and they were pretty amazing. I think Pottery Barn Kids was about seven feet tall off the table. There was an incredible amount of eye candy to behold, and a lot went into the making for this event. Design Style was honored to participate in the event this year.
My table design was a simple, natural, classic design. I chose to use a burlap table overlay over a white table skirt. I used an old wooden box with a great patina for the center and set a glass vase with white cherry blossoms mixed with twigs on top. I choose white tulips with burlap overlays as my gift for my guest who sat at my table. For the place settings I used Italian Pewter chargers from Williams Sonoma and white dinnerware in the Gabriella pattern from Pottery Barn. The napkins were in a french stripe and I tucked a sprig of fresh rosemary under each silver napkin ring. I added moss and birds nest and some live greenery in mercury glass containers. It was a lot of fun and I had some lovely ladies at my table.
